Bleed Valve

Application:

• FLUIDLOK Bleed Valves can be used on instrumental fluid handling apparatus such as manifolds or gauge root valves.
• In order to vent single line pressure to atmosphere before dissemble of an instrument or to facilitate in calibration of control valves.

Features:

• Size range from 1/8" to 1/2" tubing & piping system.
• Back stop screw prevent accidental remove of stem.

Caution:

• When installing a bleed valve, the vent tube should be positioned not to influence the fluid system on operators. Be sure that bleed valve should be always slowly opened in order to protect operators from exposure to hazardous fluids.

Specifications:

• Standard pressure rating up to 10,000 psi (689 bars).
• Temperature rating with Stainless Steel is -65°F to 85°F (-54°C to 454°C) & with Alloy 400 is -20°F to 450°F (-29°C to 232°C).

Testing:

• Hydrostatic test: Body 1.5 times - 9000 psi (620 bars) & Seat 1.1 times - 6600 psi (455 bars).
• Pneumatic test: Seat - 1000 psi (69 bars)
• Valve is tested with nitrogen at 1000 psi for leakage at the seat, to maximum allowable leak rate of 0.1scc/min.
